The Research Team in Archaeo- and Palaeo- Sciences (ROOTS) is at the service of the professionals interested by the history of the interactions between Man and his environment. A special emphasis is put on soils and plants. Besides being concerned by promoting the applications of the natural sciences in patrimonial studies, ROOTS affords a set of integrated analyses which include archaeopedology (field, chemical and physical analyses, phosphorus mapping), micromorphology and archaeobotany (charcoal, pollen and phytoliths).

Geoarchaeology is an interdisciplinary journal. It presents work at the methodological and theoretical interface between archaeology and the earth sciences and includes within its scope : interdisciplinary work focusing on understanding archaeological sites, their natural context, and particularly the aspects of site formation processes.

calle The Journal of Quaternary Science publishes original papers on any field of Quaternary research, and aims to promote a wider appreciation and deeper understanding of the earth’s history during the last two million years.

calle The Journal of the British Society for Geomorphology (BSG) , formerly the British Geomorphological Research Group (BGRG), is the professional organisation for British geomorphologists and provides a community and services for those involved in teaching or research in geomorphology, both in the UK and overseas.

calle Permafrost and Periglacial Processes is an international journal dedicated to the rapid publication of scientific and technical papers concerned with earth surface cryogenic processes, landforms and sediments present in a variety of (Sub) Arctic, Antarctic and High Mountain environments.

calle Boreas has been published since 1972. Articles of wide international interest from all branches of Quaternary research are published. Biological as well as non-biological aspects of the Quaternary environment, in both glaciated and non-glaciated areas, are dealt with : Climate, shore displacement, glacial features, land forms, sediments, organisms and their habitat, and stratigraphical and chronological relationships.

calle Geomorphology publishes peer-reviewed works across the full spectrum of the discipline from fundamental theory and science to applied research of relevance to sustainable management of the environment. Our journal’s scope includes geomorphic themes of : tectonics and regional structure ; glacial processes and landforms ; fluvial sequences, Quaternary environmental change and dating ; fluvial processes and landforms ; mass movement, slopes and periglacial processes ; hillslopes and soil erosion ; weathering, karst and soils ; aeolian processes and landforms, coastal dunes and arid environments ; coastal and marine processes, estuaries and lakes ; modelling, theoretical and quantitative geomorphology ; DEM, GIS and remote sensing methods and applications ; hazards, applied and planetary geomorphology ; and volcanics.

calle Journal of Archaeological Research brings together the most recent international research summaries on a broad range of topics and geographical areas.

calle The Journal of Paleolimnology, like the subject itself, is multidisciplinary in nature, and papers are published that are concerned with all aspects (e.g. biological, chemical, physical, geological, etc.) of the reconstruction and interpretation of lake histories.

calle Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology is an international medium for the publication of high quality and multidisciplinary, original studies and comprehensive reviews in the field of palaeo-environmental geology. The journal aims at bringing together data with global implications from research in the many different disciplines involved in palaeo-environmental investigations. By cutting across the boundaries of established sciences, it provides an interdisciplinary forum where issues of general interest can be discussed.

calle Quaternary Geochronology is an international journal devoted to the publication of the highest-quality, peer-reviewed articles on all aspects of dating methods applicable to the Quaternary Period - the last 2.6 million years of Earth history. Reliable ages are fundamental to place changes in climates, landscapes, flora and fauna - including the evolution and ecological impact of humans - in their correct temporal sequence, and to understand the tempo and mode of geological and biological processes. There is growing scientific appreciation of the complexity of the Quaternary Period. This has increased the demand on geochronological techniques to deliver increasingly more accurate and precise ages, which underpin attempts to determine the causes and consequences of events at a variety of temporal and spatial scales. Some Quaternary dating methods are well established, while others are in the early stages of development. Quaternary Geochronology will provide a readily accessible platform to rapidly communicate the latest developments and applications in these emerging fields, as well as improvements made to more traditional methods of age determination. New technological capabilities are providing a greater understanding of the underlying principles of age estimation and are stimulating innovative applications. Quaternary Geochronology will report the latest insights and discoveries to an inter-disciplinary audience concerned with events in the Quaternary Period.

calle Quaternary International is the official journal of the International Union for Quaternary Research. The objectives are to publish a high quality scientific journal under the auspices of the premier Quaternary association that reflects the interdisciplinary nature of INQUA and records recent advances in Quaternary science that appeal to a wide audience. This series will encompass all the full spectrum of the physical and natural sciences that are commonly employed in solving Quaternary problems.

calle Publishing articles from the numerous disciplines that contribute to our knowledge of the Quaternary Period, Quaternary Research : An Interdisciplinary Journal focuses on studies in the earth and biological sciences. The journal features papers on previously unpublished research results that will be of interest to a diverse interdisciplinary audience.

calle Quaternary Science Reviews caters for all aspects of Quaternary science, and includes, for example, geology, geomorphology, geography, archaeology, soil science, palaeobotany, palaeontology, palaeoclimatology and the full range of applicable dating methods. The dividing line between what constitutes the review paper and one which contains new original data is not easy to establish, so QSR also publishes papers with new data especially if these perform a review function. All the Quaternary sciences are changing rapidly and subject to re-evaluation as the pace of discovery quickens ; thus the eclectic and comprehensive role of Quaternary Science Reviews keeps readers abreast of the wider issues relating to new developments in the field. Quaternary Science Reviews includes Special Issues on topical subjects arising from recent scientific meetings, in response to significant chances in Quaternary subject matter, or to acknowledge the achievements of some outstanding Quaternary Scientist.
